Railroad Collectibles has combined its inventory and
experience in making available complete freight trains using equipment from all
of its manufacturing sources merged for authenticity. The trains
represented are typical of those run across the U.S. in the period from the
mid-1920s to the late 1950s before the advent of newer larger cars and trans
without cabooses.

BILLBOARD REFER EXPRESS
In early days perishables were often combined in special trains that ran
with passenger locomotives at higher speeds than the slow drag
freights of the day. These priority trains would have consisted of
refers with creative product advertising that was in essence a rolling
billboard. |
